Spruce Cocktail Reviews

Perfect timing, I just tried my first Spruce cocktails last night. As
someone who loves wine and a great martini, I am always looking for alcohol
alternatives. I have tried my fair share over the past few years, always
starting with Dry January and then incorporating the products I like into
my routine throughout the rest of the year.

What I enjoyed about the Spruce cocktails (I purchased the Citrus and the
Grapefruit and tried one of each last night, about an hour apart), unlike
many of the products that claim "relaxation without the hangover", I truly
felt the buzz come on and stay throughout the evening.

My husband and I both think your products are awesome. We have tried probably 6 or more THC beverages on the market in the last week, and while some were very good, none of them matched the quality or effectiveness of your product. Some were literally tasteless, water tasted better. So how it even got to market…I have not a clue.

In our goal for a healthier reduced alcohol life, I did my research and spent a lot of money and while lots of quality mocktails are out there, many tasted like someone took herbal tea and made a cocktail with zero mood enhancing traits. Not yours, you nailed it. Hoping you introduce some new flavors. We love the citrus and grapefruit.

So hearing this prohibition angers me, though not surprising given our current governing bodies and administration. Let’s hope we can shoot this stupid ban down. For now you have two new customers who absolutely love your product.

I have had 2 of the Spruce cocktails and have REALLY enjoyed it. My husband
and I both had one after the kids were in bed to unwind and watch our
current favorite show. What I really noticed was that it's a very pleasant,
functional buzz. We are watching Dark on Netflix and it has a very
complicated sci-fi plot with multiple timelines - that is to say - can be
quite hard to follow. For example, when I have an edible gummy from Rose
Los Angeles, I have to pause and talk through things much more. Spruce
feels relaxing yet I am completely "with it." I usually am a lightweight
and will have just a 1mg dose of thc or one small hit of a vaporizer pen
and even that can be too much. But i felt great with your product. I also
loved that I was able to fall asleep and not have a super uncomfortable,
twitchy body high.

I just ordered your product for the first time and I love it so much. I
just went through breast cancer and have three kids and sometimes I just
need a little something. I had a great night sleep after drinking spruce
and don’t feel hungover like I do with alcohol or other THC seltzer drinks.

What’s the difference? I am sad to hear you might be going out of business.
I’d like to purchase more if that is the case. And I’d be happy to
advocate for you. I can’t say my letters have had much impact on Susan
Collins here in Maine but willing to try.

I've had so many thoughts about your product since purchasing it, and I
just now had time to sit down and write this email! I'm a busy mom with a
3-year-old & 6-year-old, I juggle all the mom duties, plus I'm currently
working on getting my printable Etsy shop and Blog off the ground. I've
also been a professional product tester for over 3 years now for various
online stores and sellers!

Also, I am a chronic illness warrior; I have fibromyalgia, PCOS, POTs, EOE,
IBS, MCAS, and chronic migraines, as well as several back issues.

My health issues are actually what led me to try your product, and Spruce
stood out to me because it is available in a drink form, it doesn't contain
any ingredients that I can't have (like fake sugars), it's micronized, a
test data sheet showing it's purity was easily provided, it also includes
magnesium and lion's mane in the formula, AND because of the money-back
guarantee. All of these factors are what drove me to try your product, and
I've been very happy with it so far.

In the past, I had bad experiences with using Cannabis or THC products
because the high made me feel uncomfortable, and sent me into a bad space
mentally. So after a couple of years of giving it a try on and off, I swore
it off altogether. Saying "it didn't agree with me" whenever it would come
up in conversation. However, I was recently diagnosed with MCAS, and I've
been experiencing histamine issues (allergic reactions) overall to foods,
smells, certain chemicals, and even essential oils! I have had to start
taking antihistamines regularly, as well as watch my histamine intake in my
diet, and I had to (mostly) cut out alcohol. Which was a bummer for me
because I enjoyed having some drinks on the weekends with my husband while
we hung out in the evenings. But even having the lowest histamine alcohol
possible resulted in me having histamine reactions, like I was having an
allergy attack!

So one night at 5 am while experiencing terrible gut pain from drinking, I
started googling, and I found a Vice article that pointed to your product.
And I can wholeheartedly say that, Sir, your product is a lifesaver,
because not only does it agree with me and not make me uncomfortably high,
but it has almost 100% replaced my alcoholic drinks! Not only that, but
your product made me not scared of THC anymore! It's HELPING ME HEAL, it's
relieving my stress and pain, and helping me have healthier habits. I am SO
GLAD that I found Spruce. So thank you THANK YOU from the bottom of my
heart for making this! It TRULY has been life-changing for me already!

I have been too scared to try a whole pouch, lol. So I either split it with
my husband, or I'll squeeze out half, clip the top, and put it in the
fridge to finish the next day. I love that they are in pouches, making
them easy to transport or throw in a pocket for a night out, but I am not
the type who normally goes out that much. I did mention your product to my
younger brother, who also recently quit alcohol, and he is interested in
trying them as well. He said that the THC edibles do nothing for him, but
since it's micronized, it might work.

I love that, by the way, that it's micronized, and you added the lion's
mane and magnesium. I really feel the difference between Spruce and other
THC products. Spruce feels more balanced, and it's a more level-headed
buzz, without getting too crazy. I can still feel relaxed and good. The
lion's mane, in particular, I feel like was a genius move! And I love that
you use actual sugar! The formula agrees with me, which is great in a time
when SO MANY THINGS do not agree with me. I also love that it's a strain
from 1812, and your story behind it is cool! I love that your focus is on
providing relief to people with your products.

With that being said, I do have a few suggestions for your product that
might help you take it to the next level in the market:

- Have you thought about making the cocktail mix in a dropper bottle? So
people can control their dose more (like me, who wants a smaller dose). You
could use a dropper with the ML marks on it so people know how much is a
serving. This would also be a more eco-friendly option with less packaging
costs/waste.

- Expanding into more flavors would be awesome too, like seasonal ones, and
also including some flavors WITHOUT citrus. The reason why I mention that
is that citrus is high-histamine and also very acidic. So people who are
trying to avoid histamines - people with MCAS or histamine intolerance,
which is a growing population - cannot have citrus. These types of people
are also looking for alcohol alternatives online because they can't have
alcohol, so that's a whole niche market right there. Also, citrus is a
trigger for interstitial cystitis, which is chronic urinary pain. People
who can't have acidic foods in general would need to avoid citrus, so that
cuts out a large part of the population. I don't have hard data on that,
but I know a lot of people deal with heartburn; it's a common problem, and
citrus is a heartburn trigger. Maybe try making some flavors with
low-histamine fruits: apples, blueberries, pears, mangoes, peaches,
cantaloupe.

- Advertising that your product is free of fake sugars (even erythritol and
stevia) is a winner for some people, too, because some people avoid all
fake sugars. For example, a lot of people have to avoid all food additives
and stick to a whole foods diet (which includes cane sugar) because of
their health issues. Coupling this with a citrus-free formula would be a
win-win! And another strong point to this is that CBD/THC has been shown in
studies to STABILIZE mast cells, so it actually works as a treatment for
people with MCAS, as well as many other health conditions. I wouldn't
advertise that necessarily because it isn't "proven." MCAS and histamine
intolerance go largely undiagnosed because the symptoms overlap with so
many other common ailments.

Spruce is a one-of-a-kind product. I haven't seen anything else like it
yet. I think it's great and plan on telling everyone about it! I'll be
talking about it on my blogs instagram and my personal one as well! I'd
love to work with you on promoting the product. My following is small right
now, but it is growing now that I am actively working on it. I'll also be
leaving a review for the cocktail mix soon!

I tried my first one on Sunday evening and enjoyed it. The flavor was pleasant and not overwhelming and the effects were nice. I have experience with THC in various forms and it snuck up on me, more so than expected from 3 mg. I am in my mid 40’s and have gone down to 5 mg doses as I prefer just a little lift these days, and was pleased to still get that warm and relaxed feeling from 3 mg. I wasn’t in a social situation, just at home with my wife, so have yet to try it when I might need to be more engaged. More than anything, I am glad to try a NC product and am always proud to support local businesses.

The product certainly helped me relax. It was a different feeling than I get from wine. I was really "chilled" and felt very comfortable just relaxing at home. Wine lifts me up, makes me happy and I love the high. This was completely different. BUT, I enjoyed it enough that I will subscribe and use at home when I need a night to relax and chill, and not drink wine. I appreciate you pointing out about no Natural Flavors. Almost every other product I checked on, had Natural Flavors in their ingredients.

I decided to try Spruce cocktails after seeing them advertised on social media. I was new to the alternative drink scene. I'm a mom of six and started realizing that mommy wine time was getting a little bit too frequent and I wanted something that could help relax me and take my shoulders out of my ears but not be alcohol. So two months ago, stopped drinking and was looking for an alternative. I started with the passionfruit with raspberry. This is amazing, tastes great. The thing I like about this is when I started trying the alternative drinks I would try one and it would be like an hour or two later and I wasn't feeling anything and then I would get smacked like by a 2x4. Did not enjoy this. This works in about 15, 20 minutes and then last for a good hour or so. Love this. Since then I've gotten the Top Up. I really enjoyed this because you can just put it in a drink. I use one dropper full for the whole night and, you know, one or two times a week and it just, it gives me a good little buzz without the alcohol. I feel great in the morning. And then since then I bought the Sleep Ranger and y'all, I have struggled with sleep for gosh, probably 30 years since having kids. And I have not found anything that works and I have really enjoyed this. I get a good five or six hours of sleep which is really good for me when I take these. So I am loving the alternative cocktails. They are great because you can still use them in social settings. You can put them right in your purse and use them, and then the next morning you wake up refreshed and ready to go throughout the day... very different from alcohol.

While a few were decent, none came close to matching the quality, flavor, or effectiveness of yours. Some were so flavorless that plain water actually tasted better—we still can't figure out how they made it to shelves. As part of our move toward a healthier, lower-alcohol lifestyle, I've done quite a bit of research and spent a fair amount trying different options. There are plenty of high-quality mocktails out there, but many feel like someone simply spiked herbal tea with zero mood-enhancing benefits. Your drinks are the exception—you've absolutely nailed the balance of great taste and real effects. We especially love the citrus and grapefruit flavors. I probably messed up the timing for the stacking effect you mentioned – waiting over two hours for my second dose definitely spaced things out too much. But hey, that just gives me something fun to experiment with next weekend to fine-tune my perfect experience.
What truly blew me away, though, was how fantastic I felt the next morning. Waking up completely refreshed, clear-headed, and without any of the usual grogginess or stomach issues that sometimes pop up after an evening drink was an absolute game-changer. That lack of any negative after-effects is, for me, a massive selling point. It makes Spruce a truly guilt-free pleasure.

I do have one request: Would you consider offering a sampler package? I would like to try the other flavors without purchasing 10 at once.
